WAGNNEY FABIANO

WAGNNEY FABIANO

...

Wagnney’s mix of strong striking ability and exceptional ground game is quickly gaining the respect of his peers in MMA and the media. After Becoming the IFL’s featherweight champion, Fabiano recently had his debut fight in the WEC. WEC 37 put Fabiano in a war of attrition on the ground against crafty opponent Akitoshi Tamura. Fabiano displayed his extremely strong jiu-jitsu and wrestling game, taking his opponent down at will while controlling the dominant position throughout. After winning all three rounds Fabiano submitted Tamura with 12 seconds remaining in the third with a head and arm choke.

Wagnney comes from a small family with just one brother (also a fighter). The two are very close and he has always looked to his brother for motivation. Fabiano and his brother have learned much from each other. Wagnney has trained in Brazil with fellow teammates under Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. It has always been his belief that a strong team makes a strong fighter; as a member of Renzo Gracie’s Academy, Fabaino won the IFL featherweight crown in dominating fashion and is proving to be a menace in the Featherweight division for a long time. He is also known to have coached Georges St. Pierre in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
